Hi there! I'm Kim, the artist & owner behind Kimro Studio! I love all things magical with an emphasis on fantasy, fairytales, folklore, mythology, and of course art inspired by my favorite nerdy fandoms – with a healthy dose of humor thrown in for fun. I create all my art from my home studio in Escondido, CA (a suburb of San Diego).

My work doesn’t really fit into a super specific niche, because it is a reflection of my own diverse interests. I also love to switch things up working in several different mediums including ink, gouache, digital, watercolor, and colored pencil. In the same vein, it’s my hope that my customers see themselves in my art and connect in a way that enables them to embrace their own unique, whimsical, nerdy selves! :-)

My creative journey started in childhood, which led me to go to art school, after which I worked for a time in graphic design, did a pit stop as an administrative assistant, and finally started Kimro Studio in 2019 (something about turning 30 makes you reevaluate your life’s direction).

I’m so grateful to be able to pursue art full time, and the support of my family, friends and customers mean the world to me. Thank you so much for shopping small! <3
